Some are gifted with talent but are short on common sense, and some are gifted with common sense but are woefully short on talent.
Reflections on Talent
by R. Whitson Seaman

Glory not in the talents you possess, but in Him who gave them to you.

If you have been given much, much of you shall be required.

The talent God gave you was never meant to be used for yourself alone.

The lone talent, had it been put to good use, would have availed more than the ten, had they been buried.

Talents, like tools, get rusty when they are not used.

Some are gifted with talent but are short on common sense, and some are gifted with common sense but are woefully short on talent.

Mediocrity hurries to get the job done, but Talent takes its time.

It serves no useful end to compare your gifts with another's, or your calling in life with his.
